Three science stories this week that caught my eye.

So, what’s my point?

In the first article, I don’t really want to see the pic of those researchers posing– the story is about the images/ movies they’ve captured, so why isn’t that the top image?

In the second article, the image is awesome, but a ‘mini big bang’? Really? The headline’s a bit tabloid and turns me off instantly.

The third article is like Goldilocks– right in the middle.  Attention-grabbing headline without sounding overblown, and no image of the LHC nerds who smashed the lead ions together, just a nice explosion graphic.
